Magnolia cottage is a gem.
Booked for our half term break, we had the most wonderful time. The cottage is perfect in every way. Beautiful views, and a very pretty Englsh garden. The cottage is cosy, very clean, tidy and has all you need for a perfect stay. The kitchen is fully equipt and very attractive. The living room has a woodburner and snug sofas for relaxing and the dining room is heated by an aga. The bedrooms are comfortable, spacious and nicely decorated. The whole house is warm and very beautifully laid out This is truly the best Airbnb we have stayed in. We didn't want to leave! Gaby and Mike were always on hand for questions, directions and recommendations. They are so friendly and very welcoming. They made us feel so at home. Thank you for the most wonderful stay. We would love to come back again.

A Perfect Devon Getaway – Highly Recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful holiday cottage in Goodleigh. From the moment we booked, the communication from the owners, Mike and Gaby, was first class - friendly, responsive, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay.The cottage itself is immaculate, with excellent facilities that made it feel like a true home away from home. The WiFi was fast and reliable, which was much appreciated (no excuse not to work ;-) ) and the kitchen was incredibly well-equipped - far better than what you usually find in a holiday rental. Every utensil, pan, and appliance we needed was there and spotlessly clean.The beds were extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep after days spent exploring the stunning Devon coast & countryside. We (including Henry the labrador) especially loved the cosy wood-burning stove in the evenings - it added such a lovely, warm atmosphere to the living space.We couldn’t fault a thing.

A wonderful weekend away at a North Devon wedding.
Magnolia View Cottage was exceptionally well presented, clean, tidy and said exactly what it was on the listing. We were 5 adults, one young child and a family dog, although we had booked for 6 adults and 2 dogs (which the Cottage could have managed). A beautiful garden to enjoy around the Magnolia tree. Exceptional shrubs and flowers with plenty of sitting out areas and the wonderful New Inn for beautiful evening meals, but book in advance.The hosts were wonderfully responsive and gave us advice on our arrival day when requested, which allowed us to enjoy recommended Cafe, dog walk by river, refuel car for the journey home and shop for everything at the large Tesco shop by the roundabout. We all left hoping to return at some future date to make another family memory.... Thank you for being such excellent hosts....

Had a great time in this lovely house, which had everything we could think of that we needed for the week. Was lovely sitting in the garden watching the fields. And easy to drive to plenty of beaches and all of the fun of North Devon and Cornwall.

We had a really wonderful long weekend with the whole family (three generations!) and a dog at Mike and Gaby’s place.
Everything was just what we needed, with amazing views to wake up to each morning and peaceful surroundings. The area itself is close to lots of nearby attractions and lovely beaches. We’d love to come back! Communication was great with hosts too.

Perfect location for a family get together.
Plenty of room for 7 of us and 2 dogs. The cottage itself was delightful with a superbly well equipped kitchen, comfortable sitting room, good sized bedrooms, lovely well established garden and great views. Gaby and Mike were so helpful with directions and the welcome card and bottle of wine were much appreciated. A nice touch. We didn't have to call on them while we were there but I certainly got the feeling that if we needed anything we only had to ask and nothing would be too much trouble.

Would like to thank Gaby and Mike for being such great hosts when we stayed at their beautiful Magnolia cottage in Goodleigh.
Our party consisted of 6 adults and 1 child and there was ample room for us all. The bedrooms are all good sizes and beautifully decorated. We all agreed that it was the best equipped holiday home we had ever stayed in even down to candles for our daughter’s birthday cake! The New Inn pub situated almost next door was excellent - the food was delicious and Justin and Julia were very welcoming. The beaches around the area are beautiful- especially Saunton Sands and Woolacombe and we particularly enjoyed a visit to the Dartington glass factory. But the main memory we will have is of the breathtaking garden and glorious views - absolutely amazing. We hope to be back again very soon.

Mike & Gaby were really helpful and friendly in the run up to our holiday and throughout, answering any questions we had about our stay. The cottage was beautiful and worked wonderfully for our group of 7 and a dog. All of the instructions were clear and Mike & Gaby left lots of things out to make you feel at home. We would definitely stay again!

We had a lovely stay in Goodleigh, the cottage was lovely and the weather fabulous.
The countryside is spectacular and many of the coastal resorts were well worth a visit. The New Inn was our favourite place, very friendly and the food is amazing. Gaby was an excellent host. Thank you.

My family and I had a wonderful time in Magnolia cottage.
We particularly loved the garden and enjoyed the beautiful view in the morning. The hosts were kind enough to leave out a dog bed and bowl for our Cockapoo, as well as bottle of Prosecco for us, which was a lovely touch. All in all, I can highly recommend!

A great stay from start to finish!
The village and the house are easy to find; it's a beautiful property of character. House was clean, tidy and welcoming on arrival. Furnishings are thoughtfully traditional, providing a genuine cottage appeal and (where required) modern, including the best stocked kitchen we've seen in a rental property. Garden and views were a wonderful escape to relax with drinks, a cream tea, sunbathe and enjoy a BBQ. Overall, the property was very comfortable in size and layout for 7 of us together with 2 dogs. Location is ideal for those wishing to visit numerous beaches, museums, towns and villages, superb walks and National Trust gardens/properties, as well as all of the local Barnstaple amenities. Communications with the owners were outstanding throughout - quick, informative and comprehensive responses to our queries. A wonderful visit to North Devon; we collected many happy memories throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

A beautiful Devon longhouse fantastically equipped with generous tea, coffee, spices, milk etc. It's in a beautiful valley setting with a delightful garden. Our three generations had plenty of space. Half an hour to Saunton Sands or Westward Ho! With gorgeous sand and rock pools. We definitely plan to return. Mike and Gaby are fantastic hosts with great communication and suggestions. Thank you for a wonderful long weekend - definitely not long enough!

Magnolia Cottage is precisely as you read about it. The garden is beautiful and it is in a very peaceful and relaxing location.
Very well equipped and clean and tidy. Mike and Gaby were very clear and responsive communicators and weren’t pushy at all. It was a great place for four old friends to catch up especially with decent long walks near by. Thank you very much!!!

This is a really special house, full of character and charm.
We loved the comfy beds, the quiet nights, and here and there the intriguingly clever artworks. It was also such a pleasure to have a beautiful garden, with splendid views beyond. Wifi in the house is very good, but we found that mobile connection worked better in the garden. The New Inn is almost on the doorstep and is excellent - we had a very good meal there. We found a visit to RHS Rosemoor magical

Surpassed our expectations (the photos don't do it justice!) and we would easily return. Very well maintained, lovely quiet area, all the amenities you could wish for and comfortable beds/sofas/etc. The hosts were friendly and efficient and we had a seamless, delightful experience. Wonderful stay.
The photos don't do the cottage justice - it is absolutely beautiful and so spacious. The views are fabulous and there is lots to do in the surrounding area. Mike and Gaby are excellent hosts, checking in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. Really excellent - would love to stay again.

My family and I had a fabulous stay in Mike and Gaby’s beautiful cottage.
Despite the weather not playing ball we still enjoyed the garden and the house was lovely and cosy, with the kitchen a real hub. Perfect location for the coast, Exmoor, and importantly for us, visiting South Molton, where my Grandma used to live. (Highly recommend the cheese shop there!) Mike and Gaby attended to our every need. Fab experience all round.

Mike and Gaby’s house was the perfect base for us to visit friends and family in Devon.
The house manages to be both spacious and cosy, we found ourselves enjoying different rooms at different times, from the briiliantly-equipped kitchen, to the dining room to the lounge (with its fab log burner adding to the vibe). There’s a lovely garden (with magnificent magnolia of course!) and great views out into the hills. The nearby New Inn did great, hearty food (h-u-g-e portions!), if you want it. Mike and Gaby were great, helping us deal with a small issue quickly and seamlessly, and their communication was flawless throughout. We hope to visit again in the future if they’ll have us!

Absolutely the cosiest most well equipped cottage ever.
Spotlessly clean. Warm and cosy. Pub a few doors down super friendly with excellent food and drink. Beds in cottage so comfortable. Kitchen very well equipped. Cosy lounge with great tv ( when escaping weather) Very responsive hosts to any queries. Would thoroughly recommend.

An idyllic cottage in a beautiful location with an absolute gem of a pub practically on the doorstep.
Gaby & Mike were fantastic, friendly hosts with excellent communication from the get-go. The provision of tea/coffee/milk/kindling etc was most welcome and the complimentary fizz a really thoughtful touch. Gaby recommended we book a table at the local pub and we’re so glad we did. There was plenty to choose from on the menu; all six in our party chose something different and each dish was simply delicious. We also won the pub quiz!!The cottage is just as beautiful, cosy, and characterful in real-life as is portrayed in the photos; all rooms are well proportioned and comfortable, the kitchen is fabulous with everything you could possibly need. The garden and views at the rear of the cottage are stunning.We definitely recommend a stay at Magnolia View Cottage and send huge thanks to our hosts for a thoroughly enjoyable weekend.

We had an amazing weekend and were made to feel so welcome by Mike & Gaby (Hosts) as well as the lovely people in the pub. Beautiful garden, well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Even the weather was amazing!! We would highly recommend and would love to come back one day.

In August we had the pleasure of spending two weeks at Magnolia View Cottage with our friends also. It is superb in every way and accommodated 4 adults, 3 kids, 2 dogs comfortably. It is very charming and had space for us all to spread out and is also extremely well equipped with a lovely kitchen, comfortable living space with tv and decent WiFi and very comfortable bedrooms. The garden however is the star and is beautifully looked after with many flowers, fruit trees and panoramic views across the valley and surrounding farm lands.Gaby and Mike made sure we had their details in case of any queries and kindly shared suggestions of what to do locally before and during our stay. There are plenty of things to do within a 45 minute drive radius and many suggestions / leaflets in the guest book within the property. Our highlight however was beach days at Woolacombe and cycling to Instow along the Tarka Trail. We would highly recommend Magnolia View Cottage to anybody considering.

Lovely historic home with a gorgeous garden and view!
Had everything you needed, especially the kitchen. Even Alexa for music! We were only 4 people but could easily accommodate a larger group and would be a fun space for a family gathering. Parking on the road was a bit tricky but certainly manageable.

Just Wonderful.
The house is exactly as described, super equipped and clean. The hosts are always available and have given great tips. The garden was super for us and the dog. The New Inn (two houses away) has excellent food.We were completely satisfied and will be back next time we visit North Devon.

Absolutely beautiful location. Cannot recommend this house enough!
If you want to enjoy the most beautiful gardens to relax and dine in then this is the perfect spot. We had wonderful weather and the whole stay was just perfect for a large family break together. The cottage is super cool to get away from the heat and the garden is just stunning to relax in. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and is a lovely space to prepare food. They had condiments/herbs/spices and oils as well as coffee pods and a milk frothed which was an unexpected bonus. The welcome gift of wine was a kind touch. I would absolutely recommend this place but would advise booking in the summer so you don’t miss out on the superb outdoor space ☀️😊

House is full of character and has a really beautiful tranquil garden. Extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need during a stay. Super comfortable beds and plenty of hot water on demand. Hosts provided really comprehensive info ahead of stay. Highly recommended.

Mike and Gaby's cottage is the perfect place to stay with a group.
The bedrooms are all good sizes, the place is immaculately clean and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need. We had a brilliant time over a long weekend. Spacious enough for 8 people to have their own space but also lovely communal areas inside and out. Really well-equipped kitchen. The garden and views were amazing and so peaceful, we were lucky enough to stay when the magnolia and blossom were in bloom! We’d love to stay again, the pictures don’t do this place justice!

Magnolia Cottage is a lovely place for a family holidays.
Perfect location, just a few minutes to supermarkets and 15 - 20 minutes to the beach and located nearby a pub which was nice. The house itself has a charming feel, the outdoor/garden is beautiful and good for kids to run around and do barbecues during good weather. The hosts (Mike and Gaby are both lovely, all our requests have been delivered and always replied on my messages which was really nice. I highly recommend this beautiful cottage to anyone who is planning to visit North Devon.
